Context

There is a desire to track & improve personal and family well-being in the Cleo app overtime, but the experience has to be unique, effortless, and clearly relate back to family planning, parenting or caregiving.

Opportunities:

Support caregiver wellbeing: This feature will enable members to:

  • Understand their FHI scores.

  • Identify where they need more support.

  • Track their progress over time.

  • Increase awareness of the FHI: Enable members to more deeply understand the FHI, interpret their scores, and track their progress over time, which is critical to Cleo’s goal of engaging members in related high-value interventions

The ultimate vision for this feature is to get members to proactively engage with high-value interventions (HVIs) and address wellbeing concerns before they escalate in order to reduce the likelihood of caregiver burnout.

The current design didn't tell the full story for members to see how they are actually doing. Not easy for them to digest the report nor compare previous scores to see their progress.

  • Cleo has several high-value interventions to support member needs. In order to eventually get members to engage with the interventions, we must make them aware of the problem and understand how we can help them.

  • Users desire tracking health stats over time, but it must feel easy and intuitive.

Solution

I went ahead and worked on several ideas for this redesign. The new design focuses on grouping the areas according to the score (keys).

At a glance, members should be able to know what they have to improve and talk about with their guides. Nurture (the lowest score) goes first since we want them to pay attention to these areas first.

Afterwards, it was time for us to think about how they can compare their scores to see their progress and take action.

This new report enables members to better understand their scores and connects FHI to Support Plans, so that the member knows what they should do next.
